Kick off the day with a cruisy drive north, along one of Australia’s most stunning coastal routes with epic views over the Coral Sea. Then it’s time for our first adventure: a croc cruise on the mighty Daintree River! Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Salty Croc as we cruise through their natural habitat.
Next, we head into the heart of the Daintree Rainforest – the world’s oldest rainforest – for a swim at our exclusive Uncle Brian’s spot, and a yummy burger lunch. The fresh rainforest water leaves your hair and skin feeling incredible! Fed, refreshed and ready for more, we’ll make our way to Cape Tribulation. Follow a rainforest trail out onto the beach, where the rainforest meets the reef, then kick back, play some beach games and soak up this slice of tropical paradise. This is a bucket-list moment.
On the way home, we’ll stop at a Port Douglas beach and a scenic lookout for one last dose of those Tropical North Queensland views, and have you leaving FNQ with an epic camera roll.
Cape Tribulation is around 2½ hours north of Cairns, so this is a big day with a fair bit of travel. We break up the journey with plenty of highlights along the way, all in Uncle Brian’s style, full of good food, onboard games, fun, and new friends. — because getting there should be part of the adventure too!

2. On your tour you will go looking for the famous and saltwater crocodiles in the wild! We time your cruise with the tides because this will give you the best chance to see a croc in its natural habitat!
3. Rare Wildlife & Ancient Rainforest: We cross the Daintree River and then we really hit the wild side of the road as we drive through some of the oldest rainforests in the world!. There is no time to mess around… let’s try and find a Cassowary!
4. Yummy Lunch: Burgers at Masons Cafe
5: Enjoy a swim in a beautiful freshwater tropical creek in the middle of the rainforest!!! This spot is exclusive to Uncle Brian’s cousins only.
6. Cape Tribulation, where the Rainforest meets the Reef
7: Beach time: „chill out not flat out“ as they say in the Daintree. Enjoy this bucket-list moment!
8: On your journey home we will stop in for some hoola hoops & footy on the beach at Port Douglas.
